Low static masking tape also known as low static polyimide tape is primarily used in circuit board production, wave soldering and other applications where static discharge is a concern. Low static polyimide tape is a specially treated polyimide film backed tape incorporating a silicone adhesive. The product's low static properties can eliminate circuit board degradation due to electrostatic discharge.

Low static masking tape is thin and conformable enabling masking of uneven surfaces. It is a masking tape that removes cleanly without adhesive residue after exposure to heat and chemicals. It can withstand temperature up to 500°F/260°C. It is packaged in 3" core and is 36 yards long

Applications: High temperature masking, protection of circuit board gold finger contacts during wave solder or hot air leveling process, used in applications where electrostatic discharge is a concern.
